Bridging Fine Arts and Mandarin Linguistics through 10 years of International Pedagogy
My approach is rooted in the belief that effective learning happens when the hands and eyes are as engaged as the mind. Leveraging my background in Bilingualism (MA) and Fine Arts (MFA), I transform complex cultural and linguistic concepts into intuitive digital and physical learning materials. Whether I am developing a curriculum or designing interactive job aids, my goal is to foster a deep, aesthetic connection between the learner and the content.
My Pedagogy
I believe a student needs the "body" of language - grammar, tones, and structure to communicate, but they need the "soul" of language - culture, art, and philosophy to truly connect. My classroom is a space where linguistic precision meets personal freedom. I don't just teach students how to speak Mandarin; I teach them how to see the world through a different lens.
The Art of Language
I am also a motion graphic designer specializing in cute and whimsical artwork. My passion for cute imagery shines through in my work, and I love bringing joy and creativity to every project. With extensive experience in the Adobe Suite, I create characters, art pieces, and graphic designs using Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects. I have also experimented with Blender and Maya 3D tools. I am very comfortable learning new technologies, especially picture processing software.
